SECTION 0: Navigate to Bamboo Tenant Manager
1. Open the SharePoint App Catalog
- Go to your SharePoint Online admin center.
- Select More Features → Apps.
- Click Open under App Catalog.
- If prompted to choose a catalog site, select your existing App Catalog.
2. Locate or Install Bamboo Tenant Manager (BTM)
- If BTM is already installed, move to Step 3.
- If BTM is not yet installed, follow your installation documentation or see:

3. Navigate to Bamboo Tenant Manager
- From the App Catalog site, open the Bamboo Tenant Manager page
- Once BTM loads, you’ll see Bamboo product modules listed in the left navigation.
4. Find “Alert Me” in the Left Navigation
- In the BTM sidebar, select Alert Me.
- This opens the Alert Me configuration interface.
5. Switch to the “Options” Tab
- At the top of the Alert Me page, select the Options tab.
- You should now see the configuration screen matching the screenshot you supplied.
SECTION 1: General Configuration (Options Tab)
1. Use Default Server Configuration
- If the box is already checked, it will use the default server configuration.
- To change from default settings, uncheck the box to reveal additional fields, reference this guide for instructions with more details on this: Registering Alert Me using Bamboo Tenant Manager – Bamboo Solutions Knowledge Base
2. App Registrations
- Follow the instructions on this manual to generate the values you will need: Bamboo Solutions App Registration (Alert Plus / Alert Me Trial) – Bamboo Solutions Knowledge Base
3. Client ID
- Enter your Client ID generated from your App Registration
4. Client Secret
- Enter the Client Secret associated with the Client ID.
4. Email Delivery Mode
Choose one:
-
SendGrid
- If selecting SendGrid and using our SendGrid, please leave the SendGrid API Key field blank
- Exchange
- SMTP (coming soon)
Select the option your environment uses.
5. Reply‑To Address
- Enter the email address where replies should go.
- Typically a monitored mailbox (e.g., support@company.com).
- Note: This is not a From address
6. Submit
- When all fields are complete, click Submit to save configuration settings.
SECTION 2: Alert Service Support
This section is informational only—you do not enter anything.
You will see pass/fail status for:
- Registration
- Azure Functions / App Deploy
- SharePoint Connectivity
- Email Connectivity
Green check = OK
Red X = Issue detected
If any red X appears, contact your administrator or support team.
SECTION 3: Email Test
1. Email To
- Enter the email address to send a test alert to.
- Use your own email or a test mailbox.
2. Email From
- Enter the sending email address.
- Must comply with the selected Email Delivery Mode permissions.
Send Test
- Click Send Test to validate email functionality.
