Installing a Cloud Part® using Bamboo Installer - Trial 

Installing a Cloud Part® Trial for use with SharePoint's "Modern" Pages

The installation process for the "Modern-ready" version of Bamboo Cloud Parts^® is a bit different than the "Classic" versions.  Follow the steps below to get your Bamboo Cloud Part^®  trial ready to be used in your "Modern" pages.

1. Download the MyBamboo Installer^®and Cloud Part^® files
   Obtain the Installer's and the Cloud Part's .zip file and save them somewhere in your computer.

Click on Download Bamboo Installer https://shop.bamboosolutions.com/my-account/subscriptions/  

Zip File will look like this, the version number may vary.  (Unzip the file to a known location) 

Cloud Part^® files are available to you in one of two ways:

• From your Bamboo Store account's Download's section

-OR-

• It was emailed to you 

2. Upload and activate the MyBamboo Installer^®on your App Catalog
   
   
   1. Go to the More features page of the new SharePoint admin center
   2. Under Apps, select Open.
   3. On the home page of the App Catalog site, select the tile labeled Distribute apps for SharePoint
   4. Select New and browse to the app (the unzipped file: only bamboo-installer.sppkg) then upload, or drag the app into the library
   5. To help site owners identify and use the app, right-click it, and then select Properties
   6. In the properties dialog form, you can change the Name for the app and enter optional information like a description, images, category, publisher, and support URL. Follow the instructions on the screen for details like image size
   7. Make sure the Enabled check box is selected so that users are able to add this app to sites.
3. Add the MyBamboo Installer^® to your site
   1. Navigate to your site collection's Site Contents page, and click on "Add an app."
   2. Locate the app under the section "Apps you can add."  All of Bamboo's Cloud Part^®apps begin with the word "Bamboo."
   3. Click on the Bamboo Installer to enable it on your site collection.
4. Add the MyBamboo Installer^® to your modern page
   
   1. Navigate to the modern page you want to add the Cloud Part to.
   2. Click on "Edit" to bring the page to edit mode.
   3. Click on the + icon to add a new app into your page.
   4. The Bamboo Installer is now available to be selected among the other apps in your SharePoint environment.  Click on the Bamboo Installer tile to add it to the page*.

*Note : Bamboo Cloud Parts do not render on the page until the user exits edit mode.

5. Install your Cloud Parts^®
   On the MyBamboo Installer^® page fill in the five fields then click the Load Cloud Part^® button
   • Site Collection URLs- Enter all site collections to install the Cloud Part^® on
   • Installation Mode- Select the experience of your site collection
   • App Catalog- When you select Modern experience this dropdown will let you choose to install on your whole tenant or on a specific site collection (For a specific site collection please make sure to enable an app catalog for this specific site collection.) 
   • Product File- The .zip file you downloaded or was emailed to you (this is not the Installer.zip you already have added)
   • Product License– You do not need to upload a file here; trials have automatically expiring licenses built into them 
     • • If you are installing the trial on more than one site collection reach out to support at [e-mail], you will need additional licenses for additional site collections 
6. When the message "Package Installation Complete" displays on the page, your Cloud Part^® has been successfully installed and ready to use.
7. Click the Gear Wheel and then choose "Add an App" and select your installed Bamboo Cloud App.

Installing a Cloud Part® Trial for use with SharePoint's "Classic" Pages

The installation process for the "Classic" version of Bamboo Cloud Parts^® is a bit different than the "Modern" versions.  Follow the steps below to get your Bamboo Cloud Parts^® trial ready to be used in your "Classic" pages.

1. Download the MyBamboo Installer^® and Cloud Part^® files
   Obtain the Installer and the Cloud Part's .zip file and save them somewhere in your computer.
   
   Zip File will look like this, the version number may vary.  

       

Cloud Part^® product files are available to you in one of two ways:

• From your Bamboo Store account's Download's section

-OR-

• It was emailed to you 

2. Upload the MyBamboo Installer files
   
   1. Open the installer's .zip file and copy Bamboo-Installer.html into your Site Assets
   2. Copy URL of Bamboo-Installer.html
3. Add the MyBamboo Installer^® to your site
   1. Create a new web part page or wiki page named Bamboo Installer
   2. Add a Content Editor web part to your page
   3. In the content link enter the URL of Bamboo-Installer.html, then click Apply

*Note : Some Bamboo Web Parts do not render on the page until the user exits edit mode.

   On the MyBamboo Installer^® page fill in the four fields then click the Load Cloud Part^® button
   • Site Collection URLs- All site collections to install the Cloud Part^® on, separated by a comma
   • Installation Mode- Select the experience of your site collection
   • Product File- The .zip file you downloaded or was emailed to you (this is not the Installer.zip you already have added)
   • Product License– You do not need to upload a file here; trials have automatically expiring licenses built into them 
     • • If you are installing the trial on more than one site collection reach out to support at [e-mail], you will need additional licenses for additional site collections

3. Click the Gear Wheel and then choose "Add an App" and select your installed Bamboo Cloud App.

 *Our Office 365 Installer is Usable in Chrome and Edge Browsers.
