Customizing the Carousel
Once you have added the Carousel Cloud Part on your page, click the icon to customize the carousel. This will open "Edit Carousel Settings" on the right side of your page:
Creating a new Carousel slide library
- On the "New" tab enter the name for your Images library on the "Create new library" line
- Click Create Library button
- If you do not need to create a new Carousel images library, click "Skip This Step" in the bottom right-hand corner, this will bring you to the "Selection" tab
A new SharePoint Document Library has now been created named with the same Carousel Name specified in step 1.
Selecting a Carousel slide library
- On the "Selection" tab type the site collection URL where your Carousel library is located
- Click
- Select the Carousel library you want to work with from the "All available Carousels" drop-down
- Click "Next"
Adding/Modifying Carousel slides
- On the "Add" tab the Carousel Library will open
- Put the images library into "edit in grid mode" and fill in the properties, below is a definition of the fields:

- Name: image name, will show at the bottom of the image is no "body" is defined
- Body: Shows up as a description at the bottom of the slide
- SortOrder: Use numbers to determine the order the slides appear in
- URL: A URL that will open if you click on the slide
- OpenMode: Choose if the URL will open in a new tab or in the same tab
- ButtonAltText: Alternative button text
- ImageAltTest: Alternative image text
- ExpDate: Date the slide will stop appearing in the carousel rotation
- ActivationDate: Date the slide will start appearing in the carousel rotation
Adding/Modifying Carousel slides
- On the "Settings" tab fill in the fields to your preferences, below is a definition of the fields:

- Maximum Number of Slides: Enter the max number of slides, leave blank if there is no cap
- Carousel dimensions:
- Adjust width: the Carousel webpart will reflect the images' native size every time the slide changes
- Custom dimensions: set a fixed width and the height of the carousel
- Set the delay in microseconds: set time between slide switches
- Carousel Theme:
- Pick Theme: uses default theme colors
- Custom Color: use the color slider to change the carousel theme color
2. Click "Save" to view your results!
