Question: Can the Alert Plus Web Part send the alert email and include the original and the "new" changed value?
Answer: The Alert Plus Web Part can trigger an alert message when a column in a list item changes. Along with this new feature, you can include a token in the email message for the "old" value of a column as well as the "new" value. Tokens included in the mail format of the alert configuration are replaced with real data at run time.
For example, consider an alert message configured to be sent to attendees when the location of an event changes. The email message body can tell the attendees the old and the new location. The Mail Format tab of such an alert is shown below.
